Our Story

The Narrative of School of Revival

The School of Revival was originally birthed because we saw the impact the teaching had on Jen’s students in her Pioneering Revival class at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and we wanted to release it to the nations. The first live schools were birthed in Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Belgium in 2019 before recognizing the need to launch one online during the Covid-19 Pandemic and world lockdown in May 2020. Since doing that 10 day online intensive, the need has arisen to do future modules in the School of Revival. The following are some of the testimonies and feedback from how the original pioneering revival students experienced the class that has now become an international and online mobile School of Revival.

“This class was LIFE CHANGING. Jennifer is unlike anyone I've ever met and I feel so equipped to go out and change the world with the love of Jesus.”

“The whole class was like a massive time of impartation and like an open heaven! The presence was hosted so beautifully at this class. I loved and enjoyed the practical wisdom I received to live a life as a pioneer. I loved how Jen gave language to things I have thought and felt most of my life. I had really marking moments at this class! It's one of my favorite times of the whole BSSM year!!”

“My life finally made sense- I learnt I am a pioneer I received examples of how pioneers who have gone before me have lived and that gives me confidence to live courageously for Jesus even if it looks insane.”

“The presence was cultivated and made room from Jen not being the Leader but the co-leader! It was a pleasure to see what it looked like to walk in such presence! Also the second thing I loved was that she showed us and activated us as Revivalist to walk in the very calling we are destined for!”

“This class really encouraged me to step out and walk on water. Even if others tell me I'm crazy, even if I think its crazy and scary but knowing I was prompted by the Lord, I now have a new level of confidence that the result will be fruitful. I really enjoyed hearing all of Jennifer's testimonies, it increased my faith.”

“This class was gold, it was one of the most significant things in my BSSM 1 journey. It equipped me and unlocked me to step deeper into the call to pioneer. It refocused my heart onto Jesus my lover and stirred my heart to carry his fire whatever the cost!!”

“This was the best AMT class I have taken. We learned so much about former revivalists which stirred up a hunger in everyone's hearts for more of God. The presence of God was so sweet and thick in the room. So many people had defining moments in the class, it was incredible.”

School of Revival Europe 2019

In the fall of 2019, we decided to take the teachings outside of the classroom and into Europe, launching our very first mobile two-day intensive Schools of Revival in Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Belgium along with Revival History nights in Norway and beyond.

Azusa Street Revival class at Vanguard University

Then, after launching three Schools of Revival in Europe, and also ministering Norway and France with some revival history nights, my heart was positioned to move to Europe to be a part of what God was doing there. While in Belgium, while was launching the third School of Revival, I received an email from an associate dean at Vanguard University, my alma matter, to potentially do some teaching. I had no where to process that information until I was in Paris on the last day of my trip and made a call to connect. My life was headed to Europe so I was not super open to such a radical change but met with the professor the first week I returned to the States and within a week, everything changed and I felt God very clearly was repositioning me for such a time as this. I ended up teaching a class on the History of Pentecostalism (Azusa Street Revival) at Vanguard University for such a time as this (Jan.-May, 2020) and leading my class through the Covid pandemic into the online shift. To learn more of this crazy transition in my life read my blog entitled Home. Here is a testimony from one of the students.

Then, the first online School of Revival is launched…

SOR 101: Family is the Fireplace of Revival

Then, when the shut down continued because of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was led to launch the very first online School of Revival on the theme “Family is the Fireplace of Revival” on May 16-27, 2020. It was better than expected and the hunger in those present lit me on fire.

Testimonies from our first online School of Revival

This school of revival is by far the best school I've ever attended, bar none. This was the first school whose sessions I awaited with great anticipation. I can't remember any other school where I was like that in my whole life. After the school, I cannot imagine going back to a place where I was an isolated individual. Being connected means being empowered. Being connected to a small group of believers sharing the same passion for revival that is Jesus is a God-given blessing and birthright for any born-again Christians—this I know now. The session on the Azusa Street Revival was so anointed that I could feel the weaker part of my body being energized and strengthened. The sacrifices the leaders of the Welsh Revival and Azusa Revival had made left an indelible mark on my heart. It's been long since I became curious about the Moravians, but this was my first exposure to that glorious movement of God. I felt indebted to the incredible sacrifices they made for the world missions, which carried the Gospel to the far ends of the world where someone like me live. The question, "Can you sell yourself into slavery if you have to?" will keep prodding me. Yes, this may be shared anywhere.

This school has stirred the gifts and callings and the mantle that has been on my life before the foundation of this world. It was also given me the push that I needed to step out into the deep waters. In addition, to be able to have a spiritual community and family has affirmed and accepted what God is doing in my life, which is healing for me because of my past rejections.

The word “revival” is frequently used in many churches and ministry streams. We all say that we want revival, but do we really know what that means? Do we really know what we’re asking for when we say, “Lord, send revival?” By taking a close look at revivals through history, The School of Revival answers those questions and identifies those common elements necessary to welcome and sustain revival. I knew of some of these elements prior to taking this class, but now these are clear given God’s history in revival. As a senior leader, the identification of these key elements is essential to establishing ministry mission priorities and activities in preparation for, in experiencing, and sustaining revival. Kingdom come!

Steven Salsman, MD

I have a crazy testimony for everyone. Wednesday night when Dr. Jennifer Miskov prayed to sever the spiritual noose around my neck, I didn’t know she was talking to me. But I received that prayer and continued praying everything she said multiple times that night and the next morning. I could imagine the noose being the reason my neck is curved the wrong way, bent sideways some and has degenerated discs. Throughout yesterday I noticed my neck wasn’t nearly as uncomfortable or in as much pain as usual, almost like I didn’t hardly have to think about it. I usually think about it nonstop. Anyhow, I went to the chiropractor today (prescheduled) and shared with him about Wednesday night, including the noose vision and how I was feeling. He said “you’ve never walked in here and told me your neck felt good!” He felt around my neck as I continued to share, and then instead of adjusting my neck he pulled his stool around and said, “what denomination are you?” Then said “you know I’m a Christian, I believe God did something in your neck, and I can’t out-do God. I’m not adjusting or touching your neck today. A lot of the tension in your neck is gone.” He said to wait and review it again next week. God is good. And I think it sparked something in my chiropractor. He seemed amazed and shocked and curious. I went on a limb to share the deep details but I wanted him to know and see what he thought. I’m glad I did. Thank you all for your prayers that night.

SOR 102: Ignite Azusa Challenge

Then, in the midst of doing the first online School of Revival 101, the video of Ahmed Arbery was released followed by the video of George Floyd’s murder (May 25). Once that school ended, everyone was hungry for more. Watching those murders was weighing heavily on my heart and I wanted to do something about it but wasn’t sure how I could help. As I was reading Exodus 4 where God asks Moses what is in his hand, I realized that if God was asking me the same question that day I would answer Ignite Azusa. It’s a book a I wrote about the Azusa Street Revival. In my hand and in my heart, I have a burning passion to release the Azusa testimony because in the current time of riots erupting around the world, I saw a chance to honor those early African American Pentecostal pioneers who paved the way and made such a huge impact in my own life. This was the catalyst to launch the 5 Day Ignite Azusa Challenge where we had over 200 registered from over 20 nations join us in an intensive where we dove deep into both the highs and the lows of the Azusa story as well as dove into the issue of racial unity.

SOR 201: Pioneering Revival

Then, when I heard the feedback from the students from the first online School of Revival and recognized their hunger and commitment to learn more, we launched SOR 201: Pioneering Revival July 29 - August 7, 2020. This was the time when we all were beginning to realize that God had begun to handpick each one of us from around the globe to be together for such a time as this. Some significant and tragic things happened within our School of Revival family and to be able to weep with those who weep as a tangible manifestation of the Father’s love was something I will never forget.

TESTIMONIES FROM SOR 201

Yesterday we prayed for Luke. I felt that like Jesus, through His sacrifice and pain, all will be blessed… So through Luke's pain, we're all blessed. About a week ago I posted something and Luke commented encouraging words, then I replied to his comment. From the very moment onward I felt the Father's blessing for several hours. It's just amazing to know that the little act, like replying comment, can bring that much of blessing. The moment all of us were together with Luke in the Zoom was an EPIC. SO BEAUTIFUL. SO STRONG.

Seya Cha, South Korea

This time last year, I was serving in Pemba Mozambique. In fact I got back to the US on the same date last year--08/03/2019. The SOR has been a divine appointment by God, especially because I intended to visit Switzerland (to do the live School of Revival there) but COVID-19 disrupted my travel plans. Through the SOR, I’ve realized that God has marked me as a pioneer throughout my entire life. The SOR has reminded me about my God-given identity--who I really am. It has also reinvigorated prophetic, intercessory, and healing dance in my life. And the SOR has encouraged me to pioneer healing through dance. My journey to getting to participate in the SOR, has been so anointed that my dad sowed money into my registration because he knows that it’s not about the money--it’s about the impartation. And since, my family has been experiencing healing too.

Lauren Stonestreet, VA

I was touched so deeply by God and my group prayer today. I felt on fire all day and my body kept shaking. 3-8pm I did my creative expression, I have a big painting the Lord was having me do in preparation for this school. He said finish it during the school bc the importation will be so important ! I finished it tonight. I had no idea we would be doing the creative expressions....so I’m amazed at what God has done.

Jennifer Kiesser, OR

I cannot tell you how honored and known I feel. This class has itself been a healing balm for me. Jennifer, your “yes” to this call has changed my life. You steward the presence of God well and the intimacy you have with Him is so visible! I thank each one of you!

Kim Williamson, MS

The Lord showed me, from my family’s history, all the wells which He has planted throughout my life. I became undone when I realized how God placed me in situations or places established by pioneers even when I didn’t have the heart to receive or perceive what He was imparting to me. The Lord has planted me in places of pioneers even before I knew that He wired me to be a pioneer.

Welsh Revival Challenge

Then because I believed that there are important keys embedded in the Welsh Revival for how God wants to rebirth us in this new era with more of the Holy Spirit, we did the Welsh Revival Challenge October 5-9, 2020. We saw God move in a powerful way in this intensive. Our debrief times became known as The Upper Room Zoom rooms. We experienced the Spirit of God moving in a powerful way in our midst.

SOR 202: Consecration

Leading into the anniversary of the Protestant Reformation (1517) and the Welsh Revival (1904) both on October 31st, we planned another School of Revival on the theme of Consecration to overlap October 31st so that we could each host Holy Spirit encounter revival times across the globe together.

Testimonies

There has been self deliverance from demons in my husband. My daughter and I have become a powerful prayer team, even more than before. My unmarried son was living with his girlfriend and now they got engaged. They also both signed up for a Christian University! Miracles! Acceleration everywhere! My husband and I began ministering together again in a recover center. My focus has completely changed, and it is now much more Kingdom focussed. Where we work and live, these houses are filled with worship. My focus is more on the lost. I am kinder and more loving to people who don't share my viewpoint. I have more focus on racial healing and seek to learn more.
